After pitching for the Spokane Indians in 1904, Bill Hogg joined the New York Yankees and was primarily a member of the team's starting rotation for four years. He spent 1909 with the Louisville Colonels of the American Association. After the season, he went on a barnstorming tour. He fell ill in New Orleans and died of Bright's Disease at age 28.
