Bill Brightwell played in the minor leagues from 1946 to 1948, missing the 1949-1950 seasons. From 1946 to 1948, Brightwell was a pitcher in the Brooklyn Dodgers' chain. After two seasons away from O.B., Brightwell returned as a jack of all trades, playing catcher and first base when not pitching.
