Bill Bavasi

Bill Bavasi has been the General Manager of the Seattle Mariners since 2003.

Bavasi was a minor league administrator in the California Angels organization in 1981-1982 and farm director from 1983 to 1990. Next, he was the director of player development from 1991 to 1993 and general manger from 1994 to 1999. He was the director of player development for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2002-2003 before taking his current jo with the Mariners.

His father, Buzzie Bavasi, was General Manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and his brother Peter served as GM of the Padres and Toronto Blue Jays. Another brother, Bob Bavasi, owned the Everett AquaSox for over a decade, and a third brother, Chris, served as mayor of Flagstaff, Arizona.
