Bill Oster is the most recent player from New York University to come to the major leagues. He pitched in eight games with the 1954 Philadelphia Athletics.
He was with the Liverpool Larrupers in 1953, and apparently nicknamed "Wild Bill". In 1956-57 he pitched for Minot.
