[edit] Biographical Information

Bill Childers is famous as part of the "infinite ERA club". He got no one out that he pitched to, giving up 6 runs. He allowed only 2 hits, but gave up 6 walks and had 3 wild pitches.

The 1895 Louisville Colonels were in general a bad team. They finished dead last with a record of 35-96. The team ERA was 5.90. The team did have several Hall of Famers, including Jimmy Collins at age 25 and Fred Clarke at age 22, along with the elderly Dan Brouthers at age 37 who was with them for part of the season.
