The Big Spring Cowboys existed for one season, 1929, as a member of the West Texas League. The prior year a team called the Big Spring Springers had played in the West Texas League. They finished fifth of six teams in the first half, fifth again in the second half and overall had the worst record in the league. The West Texas League and the Cowboys were not around a year later.
