Ben Van Dyke pitched two years in the majors. During his first year he was a teammate of Harry Coveleski, while in the second year he pitched on the World Series champion 1912 Boston Red Sox who featured Smoky Joe Wood.
He was sometimes referred to as Benny Van Dyke.
