In 2006, Beiker Graterol played in the Top Spanish League (Division de Honor) with the team of Bilbao, San Inazio. He had allowed 7 runs in 10 1/3 IP for Rimini in Italy in 2001. In the 2007 Baseball World Cup, Graterol pitched for the Venezuelan national team, posting a 6.00 ERA in two games. He led to a bench-clearing incident when he plunked Cuban CF Alfredo Despaigne in the helmet with a pitch. He was 2-0 with a 2.31 ERA In the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup, beating Panama and Puerto Rico. It was Puerto Rico's only loss and the two wins helped Venezuela lock up a spot in the 2009 Baseball World Cup.
