Beau Allred topped the Appalachian League in average with a .341 mark, in slugging percentage at .617 and on-base percentage at .479 with the Burlington (NC) Indians in 1987.
With the Canton-Akron Indians in 1989, Allred was third in the Eastern League in batting. He led Canton-Akron in at-bats (412), hits (125), doubles (22), triples (5) and stolen bases (16) that year as well.
