[edit] Biographical Information
Bartolomé Fortunato was signed by scout Rudy Santin for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in August 1996. He spent 1997-1998 as an outfielder for the DSL Devil Rays. In 1999, Fortunato was 7-0 with a 2.57 ERA for the same club. He came stateside in 2000 with the Princeton Devil Rays.
