Baltimore Terrapins

The Baltimore Terrapins were the Baltimore entry in the short-lived Federal League. After the league collapsed in December 1915, the team's many owners sued the National Commission and others for compensation. The case went to the Supreme Court, and the ruling against the Baltimore owners is the source of baseball's antitrust exemption.
