Art Johnson went 19-10 for Norfolk in 1927, thus earning him his shot with the 1927 New York Giants. He gave up one unearned run in three innings of work.
The book A Summer Up North, about baseball in Eau Claire, refers to an Art Johnson who pitched for Eau Claire in 1932, and who was a spitballer.
