Anthony Joseph Wycklendt

Outfielder Anthony Wycklendt played minor league baseball for two years.
As a freshman at Northwestern, Wycklendt hit an amazing .407/.470/.780 in 59 AB. He had 23 RBI, third on the club despite his limited role. On April 15, he became the first member of the school to hit for the cycle since Mark Loretta about a decade prior. He had a 7-hit game that day.
Anthony's sophomore year saw him hit .306/.352/.508 followed by .311/.387/.549 as a junior. He was third in the Big Ten Conference with 10 home runs. His senior year, he batted only .237/.316/.411 for the worst year of his college career by far. He still finished third in school history with 30 career home runs. He had batted .294/.362/.514 in college with 137 RBI in 642 AB.
Wycklendt was undrafted out of college. He signed with the Milwaukee Brewers. For the 2006 AZL Brewers, he hit .240/.322/.385 but struck out in 59 of 179 AB. He was 0 for 6 with a walk for the '07 West Virginia Power then was demoted to the Helena Brewers, for whom he batted only .219/.299/.417 with 5 home runs and 42 strikeouts in 96 AB.
In 2009, Wycklendt signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates as an area scout.
