Anthony Meurant is the twin brother of Samuel Meurant and the brother of David Meurant. Like his brothers, he played for the French national team. Unlike his brothers, he was not one of the national team's brightest stars.

He was 2 for 15 with 4 walks in the 1991 Intercontinental Cup; the teenager made three errors in six outfield games. In the 1993 Intercontinental Cup, he hit .200/.286/.200 as France's starting right fielder. The next year, he batted .238/.333/.381 in the 1994 Baseball World Cup. In the 1995 European Championship, he was 3 for 18 with a double, three walks and 11 strikeouts. His last appearances were in the 1997 European Championship and 1997 Intercontinental Cup (.188/.381/.188). In addition to the outfield, he also caught and played the infield.

In the 2008 European Cup in Regensburg, the veteran was 1 for 11 with 3 walks and a time hit by pitch. On the mound, he allowed one hit, one run and 3 walks in 4 innings. He hit .252/.382/.325 in Division Elite that year.
