[edit] Biographical Information

Angel Bravo played only three seasons in major league baseball, but had 18 seasons in Venezuelan baseball, where he is on the list on all-time leaders for hits, triples, and stolen bases.

He hit one major league home run. It came on September 12, 1969 as a member of the Chicago White Sox against the Oakland A's. The pitcher was Lew Krausse.

Although he was only in the majors from 1969-71, the heart of that time was with the 1970 Cincinnati Reds, which won the National League pennant. Angel had 65 at-bats in 65 games with a .277 average, and appeared in 4 World Series games.

22-year-old rookie Davey Concepcion was another Venezuelan on the squad that year.
