Andy Zamora Farrés

Andy Zamora has been an outfielder for Villa Clara. He debuted in 2001-2002, hitting .355/.423/.450, tying for 9th in the Serie Nacional in average. In the 2002 Super Liga, his .391 average beat out all of Cuba's biggest stars as he led the circuit. He became the first son to lead Cuba in average after his father had also done so - Amado Zamora had taken the batting title five times.

Zamora batted .333/.456/.462 in 2002-2003. In 2003-2004, he hit .331/.401/.460 with 33 doubles in 90 games, leading the Serie Nacional in two-baggers. He was 0 for 2 with a walk and a run for the Cuban squad in the 2004 Haarlem Baseball Week.

Andy produced at a .346/.455/.443 rate in 2004-2005, finishing 8th in the league in batting average. In 2005-2006, the flyhawk hit .304/.437/.395 and tied for the league lead with 7 sacrifice flies. He fell to .258/.370/.337 in 2006-2007.

Zamora bounced back to hit .350/.442/.461 in 2007-2008. He won a Gold Glove that year, only making on error. In 2008-2009, he hit .300/.424/.360.
