Bob Tholkes wrote about Andy Nelson in The National Pastime number 20 (SABR, 2000). He gives Nelson's birth as November 30, 1884 in Swede Hollow, near St. Paul, MN. It is not known when or where he died, and Tholkes learned that Nelson's relatives were unable to locate him when his mother died in 1948.
