[edit] Biographical Information
Andy Gilbert began managing in the New York Giants organization in 1950 and stayed with the Giants until 1980. Was also a coach for Giants from 1972-1975. In 1981, he started a two year stint with the Savannah Braves in the Atlanta system. Overall his teams posted a 2,009-1,899 record in 29 seasons between 1950-1982.
