Andújar Cedeño was signed as a free agent for the Houston Astros by scouts Adriano Rodriguez and Julio Linares on October 1, 1986.
Cedeno was killed in a car accident at age 31. While with the Houston Astros, he hit for the cycle on August 25, 1992 against the St. Louis Cardinals
Cedeno's brother, Edguardo Cedeno, played minor league ball from 1991 to 1996.
