Strunk began the 1925 season as manager of the Shamokin Shammies in the New York-Pennsylvania League. He was replaced during the season by Clyde Mearkle.

- Won four World Series with the Philadelphia Athletics (1910, 1911 & 1913) and the Boston Red Sox (1918)
