Amityville is a village in the town of Babylon in Suffolk County, in southern New York State. It is about 10 miles southeast of New York, NY. Population was 9,441 as of the 2000 Census. Perhaps best known as the setting of the novel and films The Amityville Horror. Tony Graffanino was born here. Henry Austin and George Ross died here.
