Alta Cohen had 67 at-bats in the National League. He was the son of a Newark, NJ rabbi. (LAT, 3/31/1938, p. A15), and had a minor league career that ran from 1928 to 1940. In 1932, in 226 at-bats with Hartford, he hit .412.
After baseball he started a company and ran it for 44 years.
He lived to age 94.
