Alfredo Amezaga hit .391/.440/.391 as the leadoff man for his hometown Yaquis de Obregón in the 2008 Caribbean Series. He was 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts and scored five runs in six games but failed to make the Series All-Star team when Tony Pena Jr. was chosen as the shortstop.
