Alex "Red" McColl pitched professionally from 1915 to 1941. He compiled a 332-263 minor league record with a 3.42 ERA in 5,262 innings. He led the 1929 Central League with 45 games pitched and 339 hits allowed and led the 1938 Georgia-Florida League with a 2.04 ERA.
