Aleksey Lukashevich

Aleksey Lukashevich was the first player signed from Belarus.
Lukashevich participated in the 2009 MLB European Academy. In the 2010 European Cup Qualifiers, he had a 1.59 ERA and hit .222 for the Brest Zubrs. He signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates in July 2010; six MLB teams had showed interest.
