Alberto Mieres pitched four seasons in the minors. He was in the Venezuelan Summer League for three years. In 2002, he was on the GCL Yankees (2-0, one unearned run, 4 hits in 8 IP) and Staten Island Yankees (5.91 in 6 games). He joined the Konica Minolta Pioniers in 2008, replacing Nelson Santander at mid-season.
