After having their farm club in West Haven, CT for three years, the Oakland A's moved the AA West Haven A's to Albany, NY. The Albany A's were members of the Eastern League in 1983. While the club produced no stars for the Oakland A's, the fans were treated to a power display by Tim Pyznarski, who hit 29 home runs (second in the EL to Willie Darkis's 31) and 24 more long balls by Tom Romano.
