Alan Hargesheimer is currently (2010) a major league scout for the San Diego Padres, after previously scouting for the Detroit Tigers. Hargesheimer was named the All-Star right-handed pitcher in the 1986 American Association after a 13-6, 3.29 season, not an easy feat considering the competition included Greg Maddux (10-1, 3.02) and David Cone (8-4, 2.79).
