Beartracks Javery was the star of the staff on the 1942 Boston Braves when youngster Warren Spahn came up for his first cup of coffee in 1942. Javery was a wartime pitcher who was an All-Star in 1943 and 1944, but petered out in 1945.
In 1948 he pitched for St. Hyacinth in Canada.
