Al Epperly had the unusual circumstance of appearing in the majors in 1938 and again in 1950. In between he spent many years in the minors. He pitched for teams such as San Francisco, Milwaukee, Montreal, and St. Paul. He had a 17-year career. He also pitched during the winters in Cuba.
