[edit] Biographical Information
Adrian Brown had an incredible combination of good and bad luck in his major league career. As a 48th round draft pick, he was nearly gone in only his second season in the minors, being loaned out to another team's farm system to fill out a roster. However he perservered, and through a rash of injuries got to make his major league debut in the Pittsburgh Pirates' last (through 2008) semi-competitive season of 1997.
He got better every season and got more playing time until the Pirates opened their new park. A shoulder injury that season kept him out of all but 8 games. His return in 2002 wasn't as good as he had been, and he spiralled out of the major leagues with two quick stops with the Boston Red Sox and Kansas City Royals. A very good family man and father, Adrian has two sons and one daughter. His high school team won the state championship in 1992, his senior season.
