Abe Bowman compiled a 215-174 record with a 3.61 ERA in 516 minor league games between 1912 and 1933.
Bowman managed the 1924 Sulphur Springs Saints and 1925 Sulphur Springs Spartans in the East Texas League. He also skippered the Marshall Indians and Mexia Gushers in 1927 and the Paris Colts in 1928 in the Lone Star League. After retiring for 1929-1932, Bowman returned as player/manager of the 1933 Longview Cannibals.
