Middle infielder Abbie Johnson played for the 1896-97 Louisville Colonels. In 1897 he was the same age as another young Colonels player, Honus Wagner. Honus, however, hit .338 while Johnson hit .242.
In 1900 he played semi-pro ball in Farnham, Canada.
