Catcher Aaron Nieckula was drafted by the Oakland A's in the 22nd round of the 1998 amateur draft. He played four seasons in the minors for the A's (1998-2001) and one for the San Francisco Giants (2002). In 238 minor league games he had a .239/.338/.302 line with 4 HR and 28 SB.
Nieckula coached the Kane County Cougars in 2004 and 2005, and has managed there since 2006. He also owns the Big League Dreams baseball academy in Glenview, Illinois.
