A League Of Their Own is a motion picture starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Madonna, Lori Petty, and Rosie O'Donnell. Released in 1992, the movie is based on the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League of the 1940s. Perhaps the film's most memorable line is delivered by Hanks, playing manager Jimmy Dugan, to Bitty Schram, playing pitcher Evelyn Gardner: "There's no crying in baseball."

The movie served to revive interest in the AAGPBL and its former players, after years of complete obscurity.
