ABC , the American Broadcasting Corporation, is one of the big three television networks, alongside CBS and NBC. ABC was the first station to broadcast the Little League World Series. From 1976-1988, the station alternated broadcasts of the World Series with NBC. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, it also carried a weekly nationally-televized Monday Night Baseball game as a spring and summer counterpart to its extremely popular Monday Night Football telecasts.
