On April 17, Ubaldo Jimenez threw the first no-hitter in the Rockies' 18-year history. In the 8th inning of a 17-2 win over the Chicago Cubs on July 30, the Rockies set major league records for most consecutive hits in an inning with 11, and for most extra-base hits in an inning with 8. They also tied a National League record by scoring 12 runs after two men were out.
