In mid-May, the 2008 Cleveland Indians starting pitchers had 44 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings, the longest streak in the majors since the 1974 Orioles and the longest for the franchise since the 1948 Indians had 47. The streak ended when hurler Aaron Laffey had a throwing error to score Bobby Crosby in the May 15 game.
