[edit] History, Comments, Contributions
On June 28, the 2008 Angels lost an interleague game to the Los Angeles Dodgers despite not allowing a single base hit. Jered Weaver held the Dodgers hitless over the first six innings, but allowed Matt Kemp to score a run on two errors, a stolen base and a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Jose Arredondo then followed him with two more hitless innings, but the Angels failed to score and lost the game 1-0. It was the fifth time since 1900 that a major league team lost despite allowing no hits.
