[edit] History, Comments, Contributions
The 2007 Washington Nationals were one of three teams in the Major Leagues to go the entire season without recording a complete game, along with Florida and Texas. In fact, the team received almost no contribution from its starting pitchers: reliever Jon Rauch led the pitching staff with 8 wins, the lowest in the history of the franchise, including its days as the Montreal Expos and the strike-shortened seasons of 1981 and 1994. Only three pitchers reached 100 innings: rookie Matt Chico with 167, Mike Bacsik with 118 and Jay Bergmann with 115. This is the lowest number of innings ever pitched by a team's top three starters in a full season.
