The 2001 Pacific Coast League season was the 98th in the league's history, and ended with the New Orleans Zephyrs and Tacoma Rainiers being declared co-champions.

Due to the September 11th attacks, all Minor League Baseball playoffs were postponed and eventually cancelled. New Orleans and Tacoma were scheduled to play the first game of the series that night, and the PCL declared both co-champions instead.
