The 2001 Division II College World Series was held in Montgomery, AL. The tournament was won by St. Mary's University, coached by Charlie Migl. The runner-up was the University of Central Missouri. St. Mary’s first baseman Jesse Gutierrez was named the series Most Outstanding Player.
