The 2001 All-Star Game was held on Tuesday, July 10, 2001. The American League won the seventy-second midsummer classic by a score of 4 to 1. The game was held at Safeco Field in Seattle, WA in front of 51,223 fans. The MVP was Cal Ripken, Jr. of the Orioles.
