For the Cleveland Indians, 1993 was a year of tragedy. Before the season began, pitchers Steve Olin and Tim Crews were killed in a boating accident. Pitcher Bob Ojeda was also seriously injured. Then, in November, a car accident took the life of pitcher Cliff Young.
