The American League won the sixty-fourth midsummer classic at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD on Tuesday, July 13, 1993 by a score of 9 to 3. The league's manager was Cito Gaston.

The American League Championship Series, featured Toronto Blue Jays, the Eastern Division winner, and the Chicago White Sox, the Western Division winner. The Blue Jays defeated the White Sox, 4 games to 2.

In the World Series, the American League champion Toronto Blue Jays defeated the National League's Philadelphia Phillies, 4 games to 2.

The winner of the league's Most Valuable Player Award, given its Most Valuable Player, was Frank Thomas (thomafr04), a first baseman with the Chicago White Sox. In the award's voting, he had 392 out of a possible 392 points and 28 first place votes.

The winner of the league's Cy Young Award, given its best pitcher, was Jack McDowell of the Chicago White Sox. In the award's voting, he had 124 out of a possible 140 points and 21 first place votes.
