[edit] Competition Format and Rules
The eight competing nations were divided into two groups; Blue and White. Each team played one game versus each opponent in its group. The top two teams from each division advanced to the semifinals. Ties in standings were broken by head-to-head record. The first place team from each division played versus the second place team in the other division. The semifinal losers then played a third place game, with the winner earning third place and the loser receiving fourth place. The semifinal winners play in the finals, with the winner earning first place and the loser receiving second place. While the event was not an official Olympic event, the top three teams received medals.
