The 1974 Division II College World Series was held in Springfield, IL. For the second straight year the tournament was won by UC Irvine, coached by Gary Adams. The runner-up was University of New Orleans. UC Irvine first basemen Jeff Malinoff was named the series Most Outstanding Player.
