1969 Pacific Coast League season
From BR Bullpen
The 1969 Pacific Coast League season was the 66th in the league's history, and ended with the Tacoma Cubs winning the league championship, the first for a Tacoma team in eight years.
With the revival of the American Association and PCL cities Seattle and San Diego becoming home to MLB expansion teams, the league shrank from 12 to 6 teams. The Eugene Emeralds and the Tucson Toros were added to fill out the league's lineup. Also, the championship series was shortened to a best-of-five format.
This was the final season for the Vancouver Mounties.
