The 1968 International League season was the 83rd in the league's history, and ended with the Jacksonville Suns winning their first and only Governors' Cup.
Despite winning the IL title, the Mets would leave Jacksonville after the season and move their affiliate to Norfolk, VA.
This was the first year for the reborn Louisville Colonels.
