Managed by Casey Stengel
Coaches: Frankie Crosetti, Bill Dickey, Ralph Houk and Jim Turner
Ballpark: Yankee Stadium
The 1954 New York Yankees played the 52nd season in team history. The team finished with a record of 103-51, 8 games behind the Cleveland Indians, who broke the Yankees' 1927 American League record by winning 111 games. New York was managed by Casey Stengel. The Yankees played at Yankee Stadium. Ironically, this was the only year the Yankees won 100 games during the Casey Stengel era, but also one of only two times they missed the postseason (they also did so in 1959).
